Hy-Vee in Altoona

When I am in town, I always get my gas from HyVee! Employees are friendly & Great!!

Deli baked chicken wasn't cooked all the way through, didn't bring back no time but I won't buy they're deli food again

They have just about anything you could possibly want in a grocery store. Their prices, however, continue to rise. We rarely shop there anymore. Staff is always very helpful.

Im glad HyVee is offering mask for those who dont wear one. Also HyVee smells and looks very clean. Good place to shop.

I had a custom sandwich. Would've liked sourdough, and oil and vinegar but they weren't offered. Sat in the dining room and ate. It was very pleasant and clean. Would've been better if they had napkins on the table so I didn't have to flag down someone. Overall the sandwich and the experience was pretty good. I'd recommend eating here.

My second visit to this store and I was pleasantly surprised! Excellent, quality products and such a variety! Ethnic foods, vegan foods, hot food, fresh meats... so much! All the staff I encountered were very friendly and ready to help. They had an organic/holistic section that was great! This is my second favorite grocery store!

If you want missing items or no order at all choose this store. Otherwise, there is a Fareway and a Target nearby. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this joke of a store.

Do you review these posts and try to improve? You are in the service business. If you are short handed then hire more people. Too often there are people waiting to pick up their meds for long periods if time. People chose HyVee Pharmacy because they are also getting groceries. It makes it convenient as a one stop shop. Also, when people call they do not appreciate being placed on hold and not getting the opportunity to ask their question. Getting the response “we are really busy” is not an acceptable answer. Have someone that can respond to those calls. Maybe this was written out of frustration, but it isn’t the first, second or third time I have experienced these frustrations. Look for more efficiencies to help your customer base. I will say the individuals that help me are polite.

I've tried to like this pharmacy and I've tried to be really patient. I've been filling prescriptions for about a year here and its been awful. Literally never have my meds ready, always an excuse as to why its not. I've called them in so i could get them and go, not one time has that been the case. 'We're working on it. It'll be about 10-15 minutes.' Every single time. There is one gentleman who works there thats always really polite, the ladies in the front are mostly great but as far as i can tell the problem is the people in the back. They're awful at their job. I moved here from Walgreens and I'll be taking my business somewhere else again. This place sucks.

Stopped in and got some great tasting Chinese food. We will go and get more another day.

With everything going on Cocid19 HyVee is doing a good job of keeping the aisles stocked and the store clean.

Although you pay a little more for items, the selection, service and ease of shopping is great. Whether you are shopping online and having the products delivered or you choose the online purchase with the pick up option, it is a very easy process. We prefer to shop in person and HyVee does a good job of sanitizing their products, keeping customers flowing a certain direction and practicing social distancing, but it would be nice if HyVee required all guests to wear a mask.

I ordered plain rice in a carry out carton and after eating over half of it I saw a small black thing in the carton after looking closer I saw it was a very small black big. After looking more I saw more as well. I was very disappointed.

Went to the Market Express for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Highly disappointed. . .we were sat by our waitress, brought our drinks and were not seen again. Eggs were very obviously powdered, waffles were frozen waffles off the shelf. Never had any issues like this at any of the other area Hyvee locations. We will not come here again.

HyVee rarely disappoints. Always clean, produce fresh. With the exception of a surley deli employee my visit was pleasant

Great layout and variety. All the workers were very friendly. One saw me in the parking lot loading my trunk and came over to help me. Also all the other people/customers were very courteous in regards to social distancing.

Shelves were very bare .for as many employees ya have,ya would think someone could stock product or possibly someone needs to learn how to order better.never seen it this empty ,also the guy with the power jack ,needs to watch his surroundings Not just focus what's infront of him and go for it

The carts are HUGE. I felt like I was driving a bulldozer through the store. They need more of the old people carts and not the giant ones. Everytime I was in an isle and had to pass another shoper it was very nerve racking. Food and prices are okay (not the cheapest).

I have shopped almost exclusively at Hy-Vee for groceries for years. Their selection is good, and the staff is helpful and friendly.Unfortunately, I will have to stop doing so. Despite scientific evidence and guidance from doctors, Hy-Vee has decided not to enforce wearing masks during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Maybe 10% of their customers wear a mask, and I have seen employees at multiple locations now not wearing one while working.Until they, like many other places, are willing to accept the need for masks and start requiring them, I will be avoiding Hy-Vee whenever possible.
